A special way to celebrate World Vegan Day on November 1st

November 1st 2009 (World Vegan Day) will mark the opening of the Sthitaprajna Vegan Life Centre in a picturesque location near Byndoor, Udupi District, Karnataka, India. Here, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, one can learn how to live happy and healthy in harmony with nature without hurting or harming others.

A vegan event is planned for the occasion with many vegans and other important people planning to attend and endorse the vegan lifestyle. Be part of this historic moment! For more information, please write to Vn.Shankar Narayan, President-Indian Vegan Society and Councilor and Regional Coordinator for India, South and West Asia-International Vegetarian Union, UK at indianvegansociety@rediffmail.com or visit www.indianvegansociety.com for more information.

If you would like to travel to Byndoor from Bangalore for the November 1st event, please contact Sandesh who is organising the trip from Bangalore: sandesh888@lycos.com

  1. It is a pleasure to know that Bangalore has so many vegans, will be a treat to meet and interact with people who share the same thoughts
